Mischa Barton-Actress Hot Wallpapers

Hollywood Famous Actress
Mischa Barton
Latest Wallpapers & Biography
Part - 02

Mischa Barton burst onto the scene as a young actress, immersed in a sea of promise. At only 8 years old, Barton starred in many highly regarded Off-Broadway plays including esteemed writer Tony Kushner's Slavs! and James Lapine's Twelve Dreams, before wowing audiences in the critically acclaimed indie film Lawn Dogs, and holding her own opposite Hollywood heavyweights Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant in Notting Hill, and Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense. But it wasn't until Barton landed the role as Marissa Cooper on FOX's global hit The O.C. that she achieved household-name status. Barton's fame skyrocketed, with Entertainment Weekly proclaiming her their "It Girl" for 2003. Then, something terrible happened. Marissa Cooper was killed off and Barton's ensuing attempt at a film career has largely fallen flat. Films like Closing the Ring, Virgin Territory and Walled-In have been straight to DVD clunkers, and a slew of films waiting to be released will most likely fade away into irrelevance. Barton's final shot at success may be on Ashton Kutcher's series The Beautiful Life -- about a group of models living in New York -- on which production has been halted due to Barton's recent struggles. Now, if only she can get out of that straight jacket.

Hollywood Famous Actress
Mischa Barton
Latest Wallpapers & Biography

We could argue that Mischa Barton is an accomplished performer whose many forays into theater, television and film have established her as one Hollywood's finest young actresses. Or, we could argue that the only bit of acting that Mischa's ever received any real attention for was her role as the troubled Marissa Cooper in the flash-in-the-pan cultural phenomenon The O.C. Unfortunately, the former child star was unable to parlay that success into a notable acting career, and has since found a comfortable home as a tabloid mainstay.

The once promising thespian is now widely viewed as nothing more than a drug-addled washout whose highly publicized DUI arrest, subsequent stint in rehab, and recent stay at a psych ward have transformed the dimming starlet into a walking cliche. She Said, "It kind of irritates me that I'm seen as this pretty face. People also say I'm too thin. The truth is, pretty people aren't as accepted as other people. It comes with all these stigmas.

Mariah Carey-Hot Wallpapers

Celebrity Mariah Carey
Latest Wallpapers & Biography

Mariah Carey was born on March 27, 1970 in Long Island, New York. She is an American pop and R&B singer-songwriter, record producer, and occasional actress.

Ever since she had her very first "Vision of Love" in 1990, the singing and songwriting efforts of one Mariah Carey have shown up as regularly on the Billboard 100 as razzle-dazzle custom-made bras have shown up on Madonna's bust. With one of the most stunning looks in entertainment and perhaps the most recognizable voices in music, the legacy of Mariah Carey spans more than 20 years and across more than 10 albums of music. If you haven't seen her, you've heard her, but there's a greater chance that you've done both.

Mariah Carey has touched everyone's pop culture experience in some way, whether it be the sounds of hit singles like "One Sweet Day," "I'll Be There" or "My All" -- or the sights of her in a Bond Girl bikini in the music video for "Honey," or her swift escape from the altar in "We Belong Together." While the movie misfire of Glitter will always be a special damp mark on her career, Carey's enduring musical legacy and blossoming acting credentials (greatly enhanced by Precious) will keep her relevant for at least a few more years to come, especially if a new "role" on American Idol ever becomes a reality.
