Latest Wallpapers & Biography

Kim Kardashian is the most recognizable sister in the pop culture-crashing Kardashian-Jenner clan and also the proud owner of the most talked about "celebri-booty" in reality television. We know her best as a hip socialite, a dedicated entrepreneur, a focal point of the hugely successful E! series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, an occasional actress and model, and -- oh yes -- a celebrity *** tape star.

While it's true that a wealthy family and a perfectly timed *** tape may have helped Kim Kardashian find an easy 15 minutes of fame to begin with, the fact that she's still around indicates that she might know more about what she's doing than people first gave her credit for. As a pretty face in the age of reality television and all things Twitter, Kim Kardashian is the main wheel that keeps the pop culture influence of the Kardashian-Jenner unit turning, allowing her steady fan base the opportunity to live vicariously through her very public lifestyle.

Kim Kardashian has given Jennifer Lopez a run for her money in the department of celebrity posteriors. Thanks to a background that is predominantly Armenian, her curves have attracted infinite attention and earned maximum exposure, courtesy of a Playboy spread, a much-ballyhooed tape and a Twitter feed that proves that Kim Kardashian is anything but shy about showing off her physicality. Is she shy about anything? Well, yes -- dancing in nightclubs, according to her. All ill-timed public dancing displays aside, it's Kim Kardashian's combination of raw exotic beauty and hoty confidence that makes her ideal dating material for a lot of men. Given the chance to take her out, just stick to a limo ride and a fancy dinner at a high-priced Los Angeles eatery, rather than crashing a trendy club for a dance-off on '80s night.

As the most in-demand girl about town, Kim Kardashian had ended Paris Hilton's reign as the pretty, wealthy young thing with a popular tape. This didn't sit too well with Paris Hilton, who had previously featured Kim Kardashian as a guest star on The Simple Life. A catty socialite war ensued when Paris Hilton referred to her former best friend's formidable posterior as "gross" and "disgusting." Kim responded by candidly stating: "If Paris Hilton thinks my butt looks gross I really don’t care. At least I have a butt.”

Kim Kardashian As the second daughter to high-powered Los Angeles lawyer Robert Kardashian and his wife, Kris Houghton, Kim Kardashian was immediately dropped into a comfortable California lifestyle that included posh living arrangements, a Catholic school, a sweet ride at 16, and a childhood friendship with another future socialite named Paris Hilton. In 1989, the marriage between Kim Kardashian's parents disintegrated and her family makeup changed considerably. Her mom became Kris Jenner, from a marriage to former Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner, and she gained a sizable set of step-siblings, fronted by Brody Jenner. The new family unit went the way of The Osbournes and become a pop culture favorite later on, but during her high school years, Kim Kardashian remained close with her father. Apart from his involvement in the trial of O.J. Simpson, he had become far more active in recent years in the music industry than in the field of law. As such, Kim Kardashian became gainfully employed at Movie Tunes, her father's business that was responsible for promoting musical artists. At 20, she married producer Damon Thomas, but the death of her father in 2003 sent Kim Kardashian on a new journey to find her own entrepreneurial talents. Kim Kardashian and her husband divorced in 2004, and her first attempt at self-employment came in the music video and commercial industry as a wardrobe stylist. Unfortunately, this venture was unsuccessful, so Kim Kardashian went back to the drawing board for her next professional makeover.
